FirePoint-2 multiplex relay unit

The relay unit (click here for image) allows the FirePoint-2 control panel to operate, or interface with, other equipment.

  • Contains up to 14 relays - each with a dedicated function
  • Changeover contacts, rated for up to 240VAC and 3A resistive load
  • Style, size and colour matches the FirePoint-2 main panel
  • Simple connection to main panel

    • The standard FirePoint-2 fire alarm control panel has a changeover fire relay that changes state under certain alarm conditions.  This relay can be used to control other equipment such as smoke vents, or it could be used to issue an alert signal to another fire alarm system. Sometimes one fire relay might not be enough.  In particular there might be a situation where each zone requires its own relay output. For these situations it is possible to add the multiplex relay unit. The multiplex relay unit can hold up to 14 individual relays.  These are allocated as follows:

  • Zones 1 to 10
  • Crossover detector
  • evacuate signal
  • Any local fire condition (follows the standard relay)

    • Each relay is rated for 240 VAC at 3 amps resistive load.  The multiplex relay unit is housed in a metal box that looks very similar to the standard fire alarm control panel.
